Portsmouth vs Sheffield United Prediction: Portsmouth have yet to win a game

Portsmouth is hosting Sheffield United at Fratton Park in match-day 7 of the English Championship. Portsmouth have yet to win a game this season. Who will win at the end of the 90 minutes?

Portsmouth, the League One champions last season, have made a hard beginning to their first campaign in the Championship since the 2011-12 season. They have gathered only three points from their opening six games. However they began their league season by winning their opening three league games against Leeds United, Luton Town and Middlesbrough before home loss to Sunderland was followed by a loss at West Bromwich Albion.

Callum Lang gave Portsmouth an edge at half-time, but Burnley levelled it up with Jeremy Sarmiento while Josh Brownhill scored at the death for Burnley in what was their first away win over Portsmouth since February 1982.

Then Portsmouth meet Sheffield United, another team relegated from the Premier League. It has been since April 2013 since they met with Sheffield United, but they can find some solace in winning three of their last four against the Blades at Fratton Park.

Contrary to their rivals Sheffield United have enjoyed a marvelous season so far. The side won four and drew two of their first six games. Sheffield United had a fine beginning to the season with Chris Wilder at the helm, as they began the season with a win over Preston North End, then drew with Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City. The Blades remained unbeaten by winning against Watford, Hull City, and Derby County, of which they didn't concede a goal in those games-four clean sheets in the Championship so far. This was only achieved by West Brom, Leeds, and Sunderland. In this latest game, Gustavo Hamer scored the winning goal as the team confidently led to a 1-0 win against Derby at Bramall Lane. Sheffield United then sits at the number five spot of the table, already trailing two points behind the two teams on top. Having managed to win for the third time consecutive game, Sheffield United will hope to record its first away victory in 12 years when they play against Portsmouth - since Sheffield United had dished a 2-1 defeat on Portsmouth in January 2003.
