Norwich City vs Cardiff City Prediction: Norwich is under pressure for win

Norwich City will welcome Cardiff City at Carrow Road in Game Week 33 of the English Championship. Norwich is under pressure to get a win. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

David Wagner was on the verge of losing his job as Norwich's manager before the reverse fixture between Norwich and Cardiff on November 11. However, Norwich's 3-2 victory in Wales marked a turning point for the team, and they are now in a strong position to be promoted to the Premier League. They have won nine games and only lost four out of 17 Championship fixtures, and have only lost one out of their last seven games. Recently, they have achieved victories against Coventry City and Watford, with a 4-2 scoreline against the latter. Norwich has one of the best home records in the division, earning 32 points from 16 games. 

Wagner is faced with a decision regarding the central defence position - whether to continue with Jacob Sorensen or bring back either Danny Batth or Grant Hanley. If he chooses to make another change, Christian Fassnacht could return to the flank instead of Onel Hernandez, and Marcelino Nunez could be considered for fresh legs.

Cardiff's defeat in the reverse fixture ended their three-game unbeaten run and has contributed to their decline in form over the past three months. Cardiff has lost six out of their last eight matches, although they had two victories against Queens Park Rangers and Watford. However, they have been defeated 2-0 by Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion. This has pushed Cardiff out of immediate playoff contention, as they now have an eight-point gap to overcome. Cardiff and manager Erol Bulut need to secure maximum points from the upcoming game at Carrow Road.

Aaron Ramsey is eager to start for Cardiff after recovering from a long-term injury. If he is given the opportunity, he would likely replace Rubin Colwill in the lineup. Additionally, Manolis Siopis and Kion Etete may also be reinstated by Bulut. It remains unclear whether Bulut's decision to use a back three formation against West Brom was a one-time occurrence or a permanent change.
