After finally achieving back-to-back victories in March, Gary Rowett would have hoped Millwall was in an excellent position to secure a playoff spot. However, the team has failed to score in their last four matches, losing two 1-0 games to Huddersfield Town and Hull City, and settling for goalless draws with West Bromwich Albion and Luton Town. Although Millwall's poor form would usually see them drop out of the playoff positions, other teams around them also struggled during the Easter period, leaving Millwall in fifth place but only by goal difference. Winning on Saturday will be crucial for Rowett's side, who have only lost four games out of twenty in the second tier this season, a record equivalent to Preston's away performances.
