Leicester City vs Leeds United Prediction: Two teams in top 3 will play

Leicester City will welcome Leeds United at King Power Stadium in Game Week 15 of the English Championship. The two teams in the top three are going head-to-head in this game. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

Leicester and Leeds were predicted to be ahead in the race for automatic promotion in the 2023-24 season. However, Ipswich has surprisingly outperformed Leeds, currently holding a nine-point lead over them in third place. On the other hand, Leicester has exceeded expectations and solidified their hold on first place. They have won 13 out of their 14 matches in the second tier, with their latest victory coming against Queens Park Rangers, courtesy of a superb winning goal by Harry Winks in the final 10 minutes. Although not particularly convincing in their recent matches against Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers, Leicester continues to collect maximum points, unlike the teams below them who have struggled for consistency since August. The most impressive aspect of Leicester's performance this season is their ability to keep the opposition to a single goal or less, having conceded only eight goals in 14 Championship matches. They have also scored 29 goals, which is the highest in the division.

The most impressive statistic for Leeds is that they have only conceded three goals in seven matches at the King Power Stadium. This will certainly grab their attention. Daniel Farke's team has been in good form recently, scoring seven goals in their last three games, including a 3-2 win against Norwich City and a 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town. Their only defeat in the last five games was a 1-0 loss to Stoke City. Despite their slow start under Farke, Leeds can take solace in being the best team outside of the automatic promotion spots. They will aim to surpass Ipswich for the second-place position, as Leicester already have a 14-point lead over them. However, they will need to improve their results away from home, as they have already suffered three defeats on the road. While Joel Piroe has only scored one goal in six games, Crysencio Summerville has stepped up with five goals and three assists in just five appearances.
