Leeds United vs Hull City Prediction: Leeds aiming to keep momentum going

Leeds United will welcome Hull City at the Elland Road in Game Week 4 of the English Championship. Leeds won their first game of the season in the last one and will look to carry the momentum forward. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

Leeds United return to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon looking for their second win in a row in the Championship, as they seek to set themselves up at the early pacesetters in the division. Having lost in the playoff final last season, and with various changes to their squad during the summer, Daniel Farke's men seek promotion this campaign. But they have had a poor start to the season with draws in their first two league games and a loss in the cup game. Eventually, they earned a win in the last week against Sheffield Wednesday.

Hull City are desperate to rack up their first victory this season as they prepare for an uphill away task at Elland Road against Leeds United. Under the new boss Tim Walter, Hull have made a stuttering start in the 2024-25 campaign, having managed to draw in all three of their Championship matches so far. Walter replaced Liam Rosenior over the summer, and has watched his side fight out 1-1 draws against Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle - coming back each time - for a point.

However, Hull lost in the first round of the EFL Cup 2-1 at home against Sheffield Wednesday. In the last league outing, they managed a goalless draw against Millwall at the MKM Stadium when neither team could get that vital goal.

The Leeds United would go with the same starting eleven as their last outing was very close to perfection. Hull City do not have a few injury-prone key players fit and Walter would not tinker much with his lineup selection. Now, with three draws on board, Hull City need to restart their season with a win against Leeds United. A win would not only mean Walter's first competitive victory as Hull manager but also be a much-needed fillip as they seek to gain momentum in the Championship. While Hull City has been decent at the back for large parts of this season, at Elland Road, they may struggle to contain the rejuvenated Leeds United side.
