Hull City will be looking to get their first win of the season with new manager Tim Walter this weekend against their opponents. Walter arrived in the summer, taking over from Liam Rosenior, who steered the Tigers to a very good Championship finish last season. Though they did begin the season by drawing with Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle, Hull City will want to secure their first win at the MKM Stadium this weekend.
Hull City: Injured wingers Ryan Longman and Dogukan Sinik, plus goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright, are all out of Saturday. Anthony Racioppi is expected to make way for Ivor Pandur in goal, while Charlie Hughes could make his debut in defense alongside Alfie Jones following his midweek move from Wigan Athletic. Finley Burns will also contest his spot in the middle of the park, and Óscar Estupiñán has to start up front alongside Abdulkadir Ömür, with Liam Millar operating just off him.
Predicted Hull City lineup
Pandur; Coyle, Jones, Hughes, Giles; Simons, Burns, Slater; Ömür, Estupiñán, Millar
Millwall form
Millwall have taken no points from their opening two Championship fixtures. From what was a strong finish to last term, they have not replicated that into this season just yet. Neil Harris will be keen to do just that, following narrow defeats by Watford and Bristol City in the opening games.
Murray Wallace, Zian Flemming, and Billy Mitchell will miss out with injuries, while Japhet Tanganga returns to defense from suspension and will partner Jake Cooper.
George Saville and Casper De Norre, too, could start again in the midfield with George Honeyman, Romain Esse, and Duncan Watmore working off the lone striker Tom Bradshaw.
Millwall Predicted Lineup
Jensen; Leonard, Tanganga, Cooper, Bryan; Saville, De Norre; Esse, Honeyman, Watmore; Bradshaw
Hull City vs Millwall Prediction
Both teams will have the same desire of earning their first win of the season on Saturday as they eye kick-starting their Championship campaign.
Two teams without a league win in their books, we expect a tight game with few goalmouth actions ending in a low-scoring draw. Double chance away side. The expectation is under 2.5 goals in the game.
