Coventry City vs Rotherham United Prediction: Rotherham are still in league mathematically

Coventry City will welcome Rotherham United at Coventry Building Society Arena in Game Week 36 of the English Championship. Rotherham are still in the league mathematically but have very slim chance of doing so. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

Despite having a FA Cup quarter-final match against Wolverhampton Wanderers coming up, Mark Robins will be disappointed by Coventry's recent performance in the league. Even though fixtures against Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion were tough, Robins would have expected to get some points from those games. However, Coventry suffered defeats in both matches, leaving them with a lot of work to do if they want to secure a playoff spot. They are currently five points behind sixth place and are in a position where they do not face direct playoff rivals for the rest of the season, putting more pressure on them to win games like this one. Despite their good record at home, where they have only lost twice in 17 games, Coventry have struggled to turn draws into wins. Even though they narrowly lost to West Brom, Robins may be considering keeping the same Coventry XI for their upcoming match. Despite Haji Wright scoring from the penalty spot as a substitute, he may remain on the bench unless he replaces Callum O'Hare or Kasey Palmer. Tatsuhiro Sakamoto is out for the season with a back injury, while Jamie Allen and Ben Sheaf are also expected to be unavailable.

Rotherham's Richardson may make changes in midfield and attack, possibly including Cafu, Jordan Hugill, and Charlie Wyke in the starting lineup. Daniel Ayala, Tyler Blackett, and Cohen Bramall are still injured for Rotherham, with Oliver Rathbone potentially returning.
