Having been relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season and tasked with rebuilding under the now-retired Vincent Kompany, Burnley is off to a pretty strong start in its climb back up through the Championship. With an eight-match unbeaten streak in the division, the club was seeking its first loss since August at home on Wednesday against Hull, but a 96th-minute equalizing header from Zian Flemming earned the visitors a draw.
Burnley have lost only one of their first 11 Championship matches since dropping into the bottom three of the Premier League last season. The club is sitting in second position this season, three points behind the leader Sunderland and level with Leeds United. The team took 11 points from the first five games played at the Turf Moor home and will look to extend its unbeaten run this weekend.
But despite the odd home win over fellow strugglers Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth, Burnley has looked surprisingly resilient. They are also managing without strike Lyle Foster on whose availability they can ill afford to lose with a lengthy injury to the prolific scorer. Overall midfielder Josh Brownhill has been indispensable to the cause, scoring five goals and making one assist in his first 11 appearances for the team in Championship this season.

QPR, sitting at the bottom of the table and on a dismal losing streak in the Championship to four games, finally felt any good result in the division on Tuesday evening. Coventry, placed abysmally in the league, could only be taken away from Loftus Road with a draw.
QPR fell behind early in the game to a goal by Haji Wright, but the home side levelled through Kieran Morgan in the second half. QPR have only won one of their first 11 league games and are now 23rd in the Championship table, three points adrift of Plymouth in 21st.
Although they have been scoring very few this season, with Swansea City and Preston North End less so, QPR has the quality players in Ilias Chair and Karamoko Dembele who causes a problem to the defense lines of the opposing team.
Then comes a trip to Turf Moor on the weekend to make a demanding QPR's task, but an earlier success at Burnley in April 2023, under former boss Gareth Ainsworth, will provide confidence as they ended Burnley's long home unbeaten streak with goals from Sam Field and Chris Martin
Queens Park Rangers Starting XI
Nardi; Smyth, Dunne, Cook, Clarke-Salter, Saito; Dembele, Varane, Field, Chair; Celar
Burnley vs Queens Park Rangers Best Predictions
Burnley will try to extend their sequence of Championship matches without defeat to nine when struggling QPR come to Turf Moor. QPR were twice forced to come from behind to snatch a draw at Coventry, and while they did improve markedly after the break, don't expect them to do so again this Saturday.
