After a seven-match unbeaten run and three successive clean sheets, it is fair to say that John Eustace probably expected Blackburn to conclude their games before the October international break in some good order. Things were however not to be that way as they went onto suffer a disastrous 3-0 defeat at the hands of struggling Coventry City only to receive a last-minute 2-1 defeat at the hands of Plymouth Arygle. Blackburn will look to end a series of five straight games without a win away from home in the Championship this term having come here off the back of four consecutive wins and 11 goals scored here. While Blackburn are completely unknown here, to this point on the road, they will face Swansea, one of the best defensive sides in the division, who have only allowed six through to date to nine games.
Blackburn Rovers Forecast XI
Pears; Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Beck; Tronstad, Travis; Weimann, Cantwell, Hedges; Ohashi
Swansea City form
Swansea will be disappointed to take only 12 points from nine games under their belt but still can dream of a playoff push, provided they work on their attacking performance. Swansea are winless for three successive games and could not score in the last two, one of which was 1-0 against Sheffield United.
Swansea City Predicted Lineup
Vigouroux; Key, Cabango, Darling, Tymon; Franco, Grimes; Ronald, Cooper, Eom; Cullen
Blackburn Rovers vs Swansea City Expert Tips
Callum Brittain and Owen Beck could return to the Blackburn starting lineup for this game after both spent time out injured or suspended.
Hayden Carter may make way while Harry Pickering could drop out. Joe Rankin-Costello is likely to be swapped for a midfielder. Todd Cantwell and Yuki Ohashi will also be hoping for a recall, whilst Eustace may look to drop a player or two in the starting XI. Swansea could see Liam Cullen return in the attack as he replaces Zan Vipotnik. The other positions might remain the same as Joe Allen is likely to travel to his Wales duties and not start. A timely break from international games ensures this should be an excellent opportunity for Blackburn to come back. The strong defense of Swansea should make the match a tough one, and a draw is pretty likely for Williams' side.
