El Gaish vs Al Masry Prediction: We anticipate a decent start from the hosts here

On Wednesday, the Egyptian Premier League kicks off with El Gaish facing off against Al Masry at the Gehaz El Reyada Stadium. El Gaish have failed to keep a clean sheet over their previous five meetings against Al Masry. It's always tricky at the beginning of the season, but considering the guests' pedigree, we expect a decent performance from the Green Eagles.

Abdelhamid Bassiouni's men, who had a poor season, wrapped up their campaign in 10th spot. El Gaish won ten matches, drew twelve, and lost twelve last season, scoring thirty and conceding forty. El Gaish have acquired some top-quality players, but we don’t see them as title contenders this season.

El Gaish have won five, shared the spoils six times and lost six games on their home ground last season. 

The Green Eagles ended the season as the fourth-best side despite their poor start to the campaign. However, they have failed to win their last seven home games in all competitions, which cost them a top-three finish. Al Masry had a great season despite failing to qualify for the Intercontinental tournament.

The Green Eagles almost won the Egypt Cup last season and were leading against Ismaily until Mohamed scored with the last kick of the match to buy time for his side. Unfortunately, they were defeated in extra time as Ismaily secured the Egypt Cup Trophy.

The Green Eagles have made some impressive moves in the transfer market, and we expect them to be stronger this season.

Ismaily have recorded eight victories, while El Gaish have managed five wins and seven games ending in a tie over their previous twenty meetings. Al Masry have been able to keep their key players and acquired some more experienced players. They always play well but sometimes lack the ability to convert their chances. 

They’ll face off against an El Gaish team who have had a difficult campaign. The hosts haven’t kept a clean sheet over their previous five meetings, and we think Al Masry are the favorite here. 

Al Masry was one of the best away teams on the road in the previous season, and they’ll be keen to pick up at least a point here.
