Djibouti vs Rwanda Prediction: Easy fixture for the visiting team in this first leg

Amahoro Stadium will host the African Nations Championship Qualifier encounter between Djibouti and Rwanda. Heading into this game, the road team is clearly favored. Can the home team take something in this fixture?

Djibouti played to a 1-1 draw with Ethiopia in their last game, coming in the World Cup qualifier. In that encounter, Djibouti took the lead in the 29th minute through Gabriel Dadzie, but a 31st-minute Minyelu Wondimu strike was enough to see the game end in a draw. Heading into this game, the home team has failed to win any of their recent matches, losing two against Sierra Leone and Liberia. Yet, they settled for a goalless draw with Equatorial Guinea and Liberia in other games. 

Rwanda are coming off a 2-1 win over Benin Republic and will look to win. In that game, Rwanda had to come from behind to secure that win, with two second-half strikes from Innocent Nshuti and Djihad Bizimana strikes being enough to see them win the second of their last five matches. However, this team faced a defeat against the Benin Republic in their first leg game but also drew Nigeria and Libya in prior encounters. Heading into this game, Rwanda scored four goals in their last five matches while conceding five. 

Rwanda have proven themselves many times, and it is no surprise they are favorites here. While Djibouti have struggled too much, I do not see them having a chance, even at home. While the two teams will have to play at their best, I trust the road team to win a game that could end 0-2.
