Dinamo Zagreb vs Varazdin Prediction: Dinamo are in seventh heaven

After the fantastic success in Sevilla and the victory over Betis, the Blues return to the domestic tasks before the rematch with the Spaniards. Varazdin is the "homework" on Sunday. This spring, the Blues have already lost five points in the HNL, all of which were taken by Lokomotiva. Each subsequently lost point would further distance them from their main goal, the defense of the Croatian championship title. Also, it is quite clear that after the "madness in Andalusia," they should remain calm and continue to play at the same level. The victory over Betis and the possibility of continuing the competition in Europe should be the turning point of a season which, apart from the magic in Sevilla, so far is not remembered fondly.

The manager Jakirovic revealed that the players are extremely motivated after the victory in Sevilla, but he will have to make several changes in the starting lineup to ensure the necessary energy for the victory over Varazdin and keep some players fresh for the rematch against Betis. Dinamo are in 3rd place with 41 points, 9 points less than the leader Rijeka, but also Dinamo have two matches less played. However, things are looking much better now in and around the team, the atmosphere is good among the fans who started to show up in great numbers again, so I expect much more from Dinamo in this and in the next matches, to remind us why this is the best club in Croatia in all times.

The right to perform for Varazdin at Maksimir will have the newest reinforcement, Marko Dabro, former player of Cibalia, Lokomotiva, Beijing Guoan, Fiorentina, Gorica, Bravo and BSK. 26-year-old Dabro is the youngest debutant in the history of HNL, and he made his debut at only 16 years and two days old for Cibalia. He said that Dinamo's success in Europe is an additional motive for the players to prove themselves against a team that competes in the best competitions in the world. Varazdin are in 8th place with 25 points, and in the last five matches in the league, they have 2 wins, 2 draws, and a defeat.

A good, encouraging football atmosphere is expected again with thunderous cheering from the stands. Dinamo had great support even when it was not going well, and now after the victory over Betis, the fans will certainly come to greet the great winners from Sevilla. The last match between them in Varazdin ended in a draw, and the home team had the lead from the 54th minute. They did not manage to keep it because the Blues equalized in the last minute of the game with a goal by Mahir Emreli. Dinamo’s manager Jakirovic is aware of the difficulty of the opponent that awaits him and hopes for the same approach as the team had against Betis. I believe that Dinamo have enough quality to win against Varazdin, even with a mixed lineup, and I expect Dinamo to win this match comfortably.
