CS Sfaxien vs Espérance ST Prediction: The guests won’t be a pushover for the hosts

On Thursday, CS Sfaxien will face off against Esperance ST at the Stade Taieb Mhiri Stadium. The hosts will be keen to secure the maximum points here as a win guarantees them a spot in the continental tournament, while the visitors have nothing to play for again this season.

After their (1-2) victory over Etoile du Sahel on the road, CS Sfaxien Mohamed Al Koki, who was hired to lead his young side to the CAF Championship, can do that with a victory over the guests.

Over their previous twenty meetings, CS Sfaxien have won four while Esperance ST have won nine and seven games ending in a tie. CS Sfaxien have been a tough nut to crack away from home this season but have not won a single game at home in this round. They must win this game to stand a chance of playing in the continental championship. At the same time, the visitors have nothing to play for, having won the league already, but we are not sure they’ll let go of this game.

Both teams have some pending issues to deal with, and we are confident the guests won’t be easy on their opponent despite not having anything to achieve here. Only twice has Esperance ST failed to score before the break, and we are backing them to get a goal at least before halftime for 3.01.
