CS Constantine vs MC Alger Prediction: We anticipate a share of the spoils here

Having gone back-to-back games without a win, CS Constantine will be desperate to secure their first victory of the season when they host MC Alger at the Stade Ben Abdelmalek Ramdhan on Sunday. 

The Smurfs began their league campaign with a toothless stalemate on the road against ASO Chlef and settled for a share of the spoils against ten men ES Mostaganem on their ground. CS Constantine have failed to score or concede since the start of the campaign. The hosts have combined five shots at goal over their last two matches. It’s a poor start for a side who scored the second-most goals in the previous campaign. 

CS Constantine have lost once over their previous twelve games. 

The Mouloudians, who were crowned the champions, began their title defence with a (1-1) stalemate on their ground against Paradou AC and a win on the road over JS Kabylie. MC Alger showed why they’re the title holders after their resilience against a well-organized team on the road. 

MC Alger had a pretty solid campaign, losing just three games in the entire season while scoring fifty-five and conceding twenty goals. 

Patrice Beaumelle's men have had a difficult run on the road, heading here without a win in five consecutive away matches. 

CS Constantine have won six, while MC Alger have recorded nine wins and four games ending in a tie over their previous nineteen meetings. The hosts were tactically poor again despite featuring a strong side against ten-man ES Mostaganem on their ground. They can’t afford to put up such a display against a side they’d always take their chances. 

The hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet against the hosts over their last three matches, and we think they might likely concede here. However, I think it will be deadlocked between both teams this time for 3.00.
