Flamengo vs Millonarios Prediction: The Brazilians have to win to qualify

Flamengo will decide its future in the Copa Libertadores in this upcoming match. The Brazilians have seven points going into the final round, the same as Palestino from Chile. Millonarios has three points and won't get out of last place in Group E, meaning it has no chance of continuing to compete in the Copa Libertadores or even the Copa Sudamericana. Flamengo will qualify for the knockout stage by defeating the Colombians or achieving the same result as Palestino, who will face Bolívar, the group leader. 

In the Copa do Brasil third round, the Vulture beat Amazonas 1-0, repeating the first leg's result. Flamengo once again struggled against the Série B side and could only breathe a sigh of relief after Pedro's 80th-minute goal. It was Flamengo's third straight win after beating Corinthians 2-0 in the Brasileirão and crushing Bolívar 4-0 in the Copa Libertadores. If Tite's team beats Millonarios, it guarantees qualification for the next stage of the competition and could even finish top of the group, in case Palestino beats the Bolivians. 

The Blue Ballet failed qualification in the Colombian League after a two-all draw at Deportivo Pereira. The goal conceded in the 91st minute puts Millonarios out of the Apertura tournament. The Bogotá side will try to do better in the second half of the season in the Clausura tournament to return to the Copa Libertadores next season. The South American competition has not gone well for Millonarios, who still hasn't won a game. The three points secured came from three draws at home. At the Maracanã, the Colombians will be looking to end on a high note, the best they can aim for in their final Copa Libertadores match.

The Brazilians depend on themselves to qualify for the next stage of the Copa Libertadores. A victory will guarantee qualification regardless of what Palestino does in its match with Bolívar. If Flamengo wins, it could also take first place if the Bolivians lose. The Scarlet-Black probably won't miss the target in front of its fans. I'm backing Flamengo to win without conceding a goal.
