Club Africain vs Stade Tunisien Prediction: The hosts won’t lose back-to-back games

On Saturday, Club Africain will square off against Stade Tunisien at the Stade Olympique Hamadi Agrebi Stadium. The visiting side have struggled in recent weeks and head here without a win in three games. At the same time, the home will be looking to improve on their recent victory and maybe get a back-to-back win here.

After a great start to the season, which saw them go games unbeaten, Club Africain have struggled in this round, heading here with a (1-0) loss against Esperance ST on the road. The result came after their (1-0) victory over US Monastir. 

Even with new recruitments and a new tactician, Mondher Kebaier, nothing has changed since he took the job. They currently occupy the third spot on the log with the hope of playing CAF Champions League football next season. Club African were among the best home teams in the division, with one defeat in ten games.

The hosts began their journey with defeat against Esperance ST and settled for a share of the spoils against CS Sfaxien and Etoile du Sahel. They scored first against Etoile du Sahel, but the visitors leveled ten minutes before the end of the game. After failing to make the championship round last season, Hammadi Daou's men will be keen to secure themselves a spot in the elite group. Stade Tunisien have picked up two points from a combined nine and have scored once over their last three games. Stade Tunisien are yet to register a win in this round on the road. 

Over their previous twenty meetings, Club Africain have won nine while Stade Tunisien have managed seven victories and four games ending in a share of the spoils. It’s strange to see Club Africain struggle lately despite keeping their key players during winter transfer and adding some quality to the squad. Just after they were mysteriously eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup, Club Africain settled for a share of the spoils against Sfaxien, won against US Monastir, and lost to Esperance ST. On the other hand, the visitors are yet to register a win over their last three games and have scored once in that period. 

The hosts have struggled against Stade Tunisien on their ground on two occasions, but we think they’re slightly better than the visitors. This has a share of the spoils written all over it, but we’d trust the hosts with a win either half here for 1.68.
