São Paulo vs Cuiabá Prediction: Two mid-table teams meet at the Morumbi

It may be the match with the least to play for in Round 35 of the Série A. Not because the teams lack quality, which isn't the case, but because São Paulo and Cuiabá occupy 10th and 9th place, respectively, and their positions probably won't change much with four rounds left to play.

The Tricolor Paulista has already achieved its goal for this season after winning the Copa do Brasil for the first time and automatically qualifying for next year's Copa Libertadores. Despite its mid-table position, only five points separate São Paulo from the relegation zone, but there are six teams in the middle, so in theory, the team shouldn't have any problems. Away from home, Cuiabá is a difficult team to beat and will likely give the Paulistas a hard time, although Deyverson, suspended, will be sorely missed.

São Paulo is the fourth team with the most points won at home. Of the 46 points the Tricolor has, 38 have been secured at the Morumbi. The picture is bleak on the road, as the Paulistas haven't managed a single win. São Paulo's strength and dependence on its home stadium is a factor to consider. In contrast, Cuiabá has more points away than at home, with the third-best record of all visiting teams. However, the absence of its top scorer, Deyverson, diminishes the team's chances of winning, so I'm betting on a São Paulo victory.
