Cuiabá vs RB Bragantino Prediction: Cuiabá has not lost in four games

Cuiabá drew 1-1 at the Neo Química Arena against Corinthians. If, in theory, it was a good result, in reality, the Mato-Grossenses missed out on a victory well within their reach. Isidro Pitta, Cuiabá's top scorer, missed a penalty in the second half when his team led 1-0, and the home side equalized in the 86th minute through Bidu. Nevertheless, the Golden Dorado extended its unbeaten run to four games, but it remains to be seen whether how the team lost two points in São Paulo will not affect the players' confidence.

Despite missing an opportunity to win for the second time in São Paulo after the victory in Morumbi three rounds ago, Cuiabá added a point and now has 12, occupying 14th place. Petit's side was in last place for several weeks but has made a significant move up the table thanks to three wins, three draws, and just one defeat in the previous seven games. It would be good to at least draw against Bragantino. Avoiding defeat against a quality team could keep the Mato-Grossenses' confidence high.

The Massa Bruta scored early at the Nilton Santos, and it looked like it might do well against Botafogo, but that didn't materialize. Lucas Evangelista scored in the 6th minute for Bragantino, but a goal from Carlos Eduardo in the 21st minute leveled the score and lifted the morale of the home side. The attacking midfielder scored again in the 52nd minute with a beautiful left-footed shot to complicate things for Red Bull. The Bragança Paulista side tried everything possible to get an equalizer and had some chances, but Botafogo's goalkeeper saved his team several times. Bragantino is in seventh place with 15 points, and while it's not a bad performance, it's not a brilliant one either. The team needs to win more games on the road to climb further up the table. 

RB Bragantino is a good team and is capable of winning in Cuiabá. Red Bull hasn't recorded good results on the road but was close to picking up points at Palmeiras and Botafogo, so I think it's perfectly possible to at least not lose at the Arena Pantanal. Both coaches are Portuguese, so it's more of a tactical game than an attacking one. I'm betting on a Double Chance for Bragantino with a maximum of three goals in the match.
