Coritiba vs Sao Paulo Prediction: Can Sao Paulo Make it Four in Four?

In the upcoming fixture of Brazil Serie A, Matchday 3, Coritiba will be up against Sao Paulo at the Couto Pereira Stadium in Curitiba. At the moment, Coritiba stands 19th with two back-to-back defeats in the two opening matches. On the other hand, Sao Paulo stands 9th with a win and three points so far in the contest. The upcoming home fixture for Coritiba will be an important one, as the team is desperate to register a win and get off the mark in terms of wins and points. The upcoming matchup will present an opportunity for the players benched in Sao Paulo ranks as the list of injured players continues to add up. The last home fixture against Fortaleza also ended in a clean sheet defeat (0-3), in which Coritiba did manage to curate goal-scoring chances but lacked team combination and mutual gameplay. With 58% possession and 7 shots on target, Coritiba did manage to keep themselves in the contest but was unable to find the net. Coach Antonio Zago will be hoping for front liners to score early in the upcoming home fixture against Sao Paulo, giving the team a start that they have lacked in previous encounters. Talking about Sao Paulo’s consistency, they managed to defeat America MG (3-0) at home, in which Luciano Neves, Jonathan Calleri, and Marcos Paulo scored goals. With 53% possession, 5 shots on target, and 8 keeper saves, Sao Paulo announced themselves among the competitive sides at home. Sao Paulo stretched its winning run from Libertadores and has scored 6 goals in the last three matches. Moreover, it has only conceded 2 goals in the last 5 outings. With such a terrific record in recent matches, Sao Paulo will be hoping for another win in Serie A.

The match total is predicted to be under 2.5 goals.
