Avai vs Internacional Prediction: Reds won't lose and teams will exchange goals

The 23rd round of the Brasileirao will end with Avai vs Internacional. The visitors are the favourites, while we will look to Avai's good home statistics.

Avai is entirely focused on Serie A, but in their last ten games in Serie A, the home side has won only once, just against Santos, losing six times and drawing three times in that period. The results are poor, so it is no surprise that Avai is already in the relegation zone before this game. They could get out of the bottom four if they win on Monday. Ten days ago, Inter dropped out of the South American Cup disgracefully, losing on penalties at home to Peru's Melgar. The latter is situated in the direct group stage zone of the Libertadores Cup. If they beat Avai, Inter would move ahead of Athletico Paranaense and Corinthians in the standings, climbing into the direct qualification zone for the CL. The away statistics of Internacional are only the 9th in the division, but there are only three defeats, and the general statistics are +3=5-3, 10:12 goal difference.

On the one hand, the Avai is quite good at home halfway through the season, although the home side has had problems in recent times in home games as well. Inter is entirely motivated because a win could lift the Reds two places up in the standings and place them in the top four. There are two more important details to note. First, Inter is historically comfortable playing at Avai field, considering the statistics of their head-to-head encounters. Secondly, the home side Avai is quite productive, at least in Florianopolis, with regular goal exchanges.
