Botswana vs Egypt Prediction: The Visitors will secure a back-to-back victory

The Botswana National team will host the Pharaohs at the Francistown Stadium on Tuesday. The bookies have tipped the visitors for a victory; however, the home team won’t bow down without a fight.

The Southern African side have only played in this tournament once, and they’ll be poised to cement their spot in Morocco next year. They head into this match after a defeat against Mauritania as they failed to seize their chances and were punished in the 84th minute. The Zebras have won once in the last six matches in all competitions, and the victory came against a weaker team.

They are ranked 145th in the world according to FIFA and have earned five points from a combined fifteen lately.

The Pharaohs are unbeaten in their previous three matches, scoring six while conceding twice. Rui Vitoria head here with a (3-0) victory over Cape Verde, creating six big chances against an organised opposition. Two goals from Rami Rabia and Omar Marmoush, coupled with Ibrahim Adel's goals, were all they needed to amass all the points. 

After picking up fifteen points from a possible eighteen in the same competition last season, they will be keen to book their ticket to next year’s edition of the AFCON.

Egypt are the favourite going into the match, boasting a squad full of talent and experience; they will be looking to dominate possession and create chances in the attacking third.

Egypt have won three and drawn once over their previous four matches against Botswana. Both teams met in the 2014 edition of the AFCON qualifications as Egypt won (2-0) both home and away. 

Egypt have not been defeated in five consecutive qualification games on the road — picking up three wins and two stalemates— stretching back to last year's qualifiers, where they enjoyed an unbeaten campaign.
