Andorra vs Switzerland Prediction: Opponents of such a different level

The Andorra national team is a typical European football team that has never achieved major international tournaments. It is unlikely to do so in the nearest future. Their only chance is a successful performance in the UEFA Nations League, where the resistance level is noticeably more modest. However, even at the level of the fourth strongest division, they play modestly. After that, the Andorrans began qualifying for Euro 2024. In the opening match, they were defeated by the Romanian national team – 0:2, but then they created an absolute sensation, sharing points with the Kosovo national team – 1:1.

The Swiss national team regularly participates in all recent major international tournaments. Moreover, after 2012, they always reached the playoffs, and at Euro 2020, they even reached the quarterfinals, beating France. Switzerland performed unsuccessfully at the 2022 World Cup, having already finished the tournament in the last 16 from the Portuguese - 1:6, and now they are trying to qualify for Euro 2024. The starting segment of the qualifying tournament was very productive for Murat Yakin's wards, as in the opening game, they defeated the Belarusian national team – 5:0 and left no chance for the Israeli national team – 3:0.

The national teams of Andorra and Switzerland are opponents of such a different level that it is even naive to compare them. In recent years, Andorra has stopped to look completely hopeless, but they obviously cannot provide decent resistance to Switzerland. The wards of Murat Yakin started the qualifying tournament for Euro 2024 very powerfully, winning in two opening meetings with a total score of 8:0, and they had Belarusians and Israelis as their competitors, who are much stronger than the Andorrans. 

The Swiss national team, with the leadership of Vladimir Petkovic, almost always aimed to play competitive football, but Murat Yakin began to make a more pragmatic and defensive team out of Switzerland. Fortunately, they have played much brighter lately, and in the previous four meetings, 20 goalkeepers took place (5.00 on average per game) – a very high result.
