Al-Kholood FC vs Al-Ittihad FC Prediction: Ittihad will not lose their first game of the season

A new Saudi Pro League season is upon us and we are more than thrilled for the rollercoaster of emotions and footballing spectacle that’ll befall us this season. Al-Ittihad will play their first game of the new season against Al-Kholood on Saturday at the Al-Hazem stadium. Ittihad had a good run in the league last season although it wasn’t so great when compared to the previous 3 seasons before that. Amidst all the internal issues in Al-Ittihad which affected the team's performance towards the end of last season, we expect a better and stronger side this season. Ittihad finished 5th place in the Saudi Pro League last season which was a bad result compared to three seasons ago. Their overall league statistics last season were 16 wins, 6 draws, and 12 losses from a total of 34 games played. They’ve played 5 club friendly games in preparation for the new season but only managed to win one which was against Inter Milan. They won with a 0-2 scoreline and Moussa Diaby scored the two goals. 

Both teams met at the Saudi Kings Cup last season and the game ended in a 1-1 draw, but Al-Ittihad advanced to the next round on penalties.

Al-Kholood undoubtedly had an amazing run in the Saudi First division last season but it’s a different ball game in the Saudi Pro League and they’ll need all the strength they can get if they intend to defeat Al-Ittihad on the opening match day.
