Al Ittihad vs El Gaish Prediction: This fierce encounter won’t deprive us of goals

On Wednesday, Al Ittihad will face off against El Gaish at the Alexandria Stadium. The hosts have been in decent condition this season but have a stern test ahead of their clash against a stiff opponent tomorrow.

The Thagher's Leaders have been pretty solid this season, with one defeat in nine games. Before the break, Al Ittihad defeated El Dakhleya on the road; even though they only scored once in a game, they created loads of chances. During the AFCON break, they made it to the semifinals of the Egyptian League but were unfortunately eliminated by the defending champions Ceramica.

They have been fantastic during the break, winning four of their last five games in the Egyptian League Cup. El Gaish will play against Ceramica in the finals at a later date after eliminating El Gouna in the semifinals. 

El Gaish have picked up seventeen points from a combined thirty-three, and are two points below the top of the log. They have won twice, drawn once, and lost twice on the road in the league this season. 

Over their previous twenty meetings, Al Itihad have won nine while El Gaish have recorded four wins and seven games ending in a tie. Al Ittihad have been at the top of their game this season, and with just a defeat in the league this season, they might be on their way back to the continental tournament. They have recruited some decent players during the winter and are boosted by the return of Mabululu from the AFCON tournament. On the opposing end, El Gaish have been decent in the Egyptian League Cup and will be desperate to replicate such form here. This game will produce goals because of the attacking threat both sides possess; bet on a total of over 2.5 goals for 2.38.
