Al-Gharafa SC vs Al-Shamal SC Prediction: Gharafa will not lose

The Al-Gharafa stadium will host Al-Gharafa’s 4th league game of the season on Friday against Al-Shamal. Al-Gharafa is currently 5th place in the league with a win, a draw, and a loss in the three league games they’ve played this season. Al-Gharafa started their season on an average note as they settled at a stalemate against Al-Khor. Both teams were unable to find the net in that game and it all ended in a goalless draw. In their second and most recent league game against Al-Ahli, Gharafa was defeated by a narrow 1-0 scoreline. However, Al-Gharafa finally bounced back to winning ways and got their first victory of the season against Al-Rayyan in their most recent league game. Roger Guedes got the first goal of the game for Al-Rayyan in the 65th minute, but Florinel Coman equalized for Gharafa just 5 minutes after before doubling their lead in the 83rd minute. Gharafa has now won a game with a draw and a loss in the three games played in the league.

Al-Shamal started their new season with a shocking 2-1 victory over defending champions Al-Sadd in their opening league game of the season. However, it has been catastrophic for them after that victory as they’ve lost their last two league games. Their second league game of the season against Umm Salal ended in a 3-2 defeat as they conceded 3 straight goals before Baghdad Bounedjah pulled two goals back in the 81st and 97th minute but there wasn’t enough time to pull the final equalizer. Their last and most recent league game against Qatar SC ended in a narrow 0-1 defeat. Baghdad Bounedjah has scored 4 goals for Al-Shamal already this season. Shamal is currently 6th placed in the league with a win and two losses from the three games played. 

Al-Gharafa currently leads in their H2H statistics in their last 10 encounters with 5 wins, while Al-Shamal plays catch up with 3 wins and 2 draws.

Shamal has shown great strength in the three games they’ve played this season although they were overpowered in those games, we still think they are strong opponents to face Gharafa.
