Al Ahly vs Zamalek Prediction: The Cairo Derby will end in favour of the Red Devils

Two heavyweights will clash in the finals of the CAF Super Cup tomorrow at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Al Ahly, who secured the CAF Champions League trophy last campaign, will face off against CAF Confederation Cup winners Zamalek for the Super Cup trophy. The Red Devils played this fixture last season; unfortunately, they lost against USM Alger, and they’ll be poised to do better this time against their arch-rival. 

The Red Devils, who won the CAF Champions League, Egypt Super Cup, Egypt Cup and Egyptian Premier League, will hope to replicate such a feat against this campaign. Al Ahly have picked up from where they stopped with back-to-back victories in the CAF Champions League qualifying round. They scored six and kept a clean sheet in both matches.

This is another opportunity for them to lay their hands on silverware after their successful campaign. 

They are adequately experienced in this competition, and we trust them to play at the highest levels here.

The White Knights were crowned the champions last season against RSB Berkane; unfortunately, they failed to challenge for the league title as they finished third in the Premier League. Zamalek defeated RSB Berkane (1-0) in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup and were knocked out of the Egypt Cup. 

Zamalek are playing with precision and enthusiasm and are unbeaten in the last two matches.

The last twenty matches between both teams have ended in twelve wins for Al Ahly, five victories for Zamalek and three draws. Al Ahly played twenty-seven matches without defeat until their loss against Future FC last season when they featured their academy players. They’ve strengthened their squad this season and have one of the biggest squads in the continent. On the opposing end, Zamalek finished third last campaign in the league, making it back-to-back seasons without Champions League football. 

Al Ahly are in high spirits heading into this match, as all their players are available for selection, and we believe they are going to give their opponent a run for their money; bet on Al Ahly to lift the trophy.

Al Ahly have a better squad and a more consistent coach than the White Knights, and we expect them to win and score more than a goal here for 1.90.
