A taunting moment for the home team who just parted ways with their two-time CAF champions league-winning coach Pitso Mosimane. The manager who happens to be one of the best coaches in Africa was left in shock when the management axed him two days ago. He fell out with the management after their disappointing displays in both the league and the champions league this season, in the meantime, Samy Komsan will replace the South African coach as they search for his replacement.
Al Ahly have only managed a win in the last five games and are seven points below Zamalek in the first place, however, with three games yet to be played, Al Ahly stand a chance to overthrow Zamalek if they manage to win all their outstanding matches.
The Red Eagles are nothing short of average in their recent performance with a scrappy win on matchday 15, two goals in the 95th and 98th minutes secured them their first win in five matches.
It might even get worse when they face a stubborn Eastern Company SC side later tomorrow as some players are still on international duties.

Of all the teams that got promoted last season, Eastern Company are the only team performing below par. They have won just twice this season and have lost eleven games while sharing the spoils in seven encounters. They have accumulated thirteen points from a possible fifty-seven, that's poor for a team whose dream is to play in Division One.
They almost got a win for the first time in six tries on matchday 29, but two goals from Smouha cancelled out their lead as they surrendered a share of points at full time.
They recorded another standstill on matchday 21 against Future FC as points were shared at full time.
They have won once, lost five times and drawn three matches in their last eight away games.

Both teams have only met twice with Al Ahly earning four points while Eastern Company managed to claim a point.
The home team must be careful against the Eastern Company side who have now drawn two good sides back to back, however, the home team despite their players still on International duties should be able to see off the visitors, bet on the home win and under 3.5 for 1.80.
