Cameroon is the opponent for the second game of Namibia's Group C doubleheader on Tuesday, and Namibia's goal is to get their first victory in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification with a victory over Cameroon. The team captained by Rigobert Song will travel to Dobsonville Stadium with the goals of breaking their streak of three consecutive losses on the road and extending their lead at the top of the standings for their group.

Peter Shalulile scored against the run of play to give Namibia a lead in the first half despite the fact that they were under pressure and had less than 30 percent of the ball. Olivier Kemen, a midfielder for Kayserispor, equalized the score with a goal in the 72nd minute to bring the game back to a tie. The Brave Warriors had not competed in a game since the COSAFA Cup final in July 2022, when they were defeated by Zambia 1-0 thanks to an own goal scored by Edward Maova in extra time. After being eliminated from contention for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021, Namibia began their campaign for a spot in the tournament that will be held in Ivory Coast with a somewhat disheartening 1-1 draw against 10-man Burundi in June of last year. Since then, they have collected two points out of a possible six in Group C. Although the team led by Collin Benjamin will be seeking to get their season off to a strong start, they have failed to win their past four consecutive matches at home across all competitions. Since their 2-1 victory over Guinea in March, they have drawn two of those matches and lost twice.
Cameroon - the visitors have a better squad
After starting their AFCON qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Burundi in June thanks to a goal scored by Karl Toko Ekambi in the 30th minute, the Indomitable Lions will now try to get back to winning ways. The team led by Song enters the midweek matchup having not suffered defeat in four of their most recent five matches across all competitions. They have two victories and two draws since suffering a 1-0 defeat to Switzerland in their opening matchup for the 2022 FIFA World Cup back in November. Cameroon, who are looking to make it to the continental championship for the fourth year in a row, have been unsuccessful in their last three matches played away from home since their triumph against Burundi in the first match of Group E played at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.
Expert Betting Tips
Even though Cameroon had the ball and controlled the game, they could not get a win on Friday and will try to make things right at the Dobsonville Stadium. We think the Indomitable Lions have the firepower they need to get the job done, so we'll be betting on them to win this game and take all three points.
