South Korea vs Morocco Prediction: Morocco is overrated

South Korea and Morocco failed to win their opening game and now find themselves with no points in the group stages. South Korea lost 2-0 to Columbia, while Morocco were humiliated by Germany as they lost 6-0. Currently, South Korea is 3rd in the group, while Morocco are at the bottom of the group. A win here will be crucial for both sides if they want to make it to the knockout stages, but there is a very serious concern that the result here would not stop the inevitable, which is a progression of Germany and Columbia to the next round.

The South Koreans were expecting a better start to the campaign after their fruitful warm-up friendlies 2 weeks before the tournament started. But they failed to reproduce their form as they lost 2-0 to Colombia on the opening day.

And then 9 minutes later, Linda Caicedo doubled the lead of the Colombians, destroying every hope of a comeback for the South Koreans. And then in the second half, Klara Buhl scored the third goal for the Germans before Hanane Ait El Haj put the ball into her own net to give Germany the 4th goal in the 54th minute. The Moroccans lost their grip on the game as they conceded another goal from an own goal scored by Yasmin Katie Mrabet in the 79th minute before Lea Schuller scored the 6th goal in the 90th minute. The Moroccans were equally bad all round in that game as they had only 26% possession, 4 shots on target and 2 corner kicks.

It is clear that both sides doubts their chances of making it to the Knockout stages, so i don’t see them putting up a fight in this game.
