A special Grand Prix is ahead of us. Regardless of whether you belong to those who love tradition and a kind of old-fashioned flair, or you are one of those who would remove the upcoming race from the Formula 1 calendar, you probably will agree with the following statement - the Monaco Grand Prix is a unique race on the calendar and cannot be compared not with one. There are many reasons. Some will say that with modern F1 cars, racing on the narrow streets of Monte Carlo no longer makes sense because it is practically impossible to perform any form of overtaking during the race, but at the same time, it is really impressive to see how the drivers maneuver these cars, that is, how they generate confidence behind the wheels of their cars. In Monaco, the qualifications are definitely more important than the race and it is the only such weekend in the season.
Leclerc clinches the pole position for the third time in his career at Monaco
His 24th pole position, Charles Leclerc won at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. It is the third time the Monaco driver has taken pole position at his home race, and we will find out this Sunday if it will be lucky for him and whether he will finally fulfill his dream of winning in Monte Carlo. The second starting position was won by Oscar Piastri in McLaren and the third by Carlos Sainz in the second Ferrari car. Incredibly, qualifying in Monte Carlo passed without any incidents. Although the track was very crowded and all the drivers were on their absolute edge, there were no accidents and there was no need for yellow or red flags. The pleasant surprises of the qualifiers were Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly, who entered Q3 and will start from the fifth row, while the unpleasant surprises are Fernando Alonso 16th, and Sergio Perez 18th.
Expert Betting Tips
Leclerc is without any doubt the favorite to win this race, he is in great form, the Ferrari showed incredible performances during trainings and qualifications, and considering how narrow the track is, Leclerc shouldn’t have trouble keeping the first place. However, I think that some drivers will find a way to gain some position, and I believe that Lando Norris in his McLaren after the great performances in the last race can finish in the top 3 in this race as well even though he starts from 4th place.
OUR PREDICTION: Lando Norris in the top 3
