Gen.G Esports

After their recent dominance in the LCK, where Gen.G has won four consecutive regional titles, the Korean champions will again be among the favorites for the MSI. They are the first LCK team to win home championships and will be looking to lift their first international trophy. Heading the current Gen.G roster is Chovy, who is in his third season as one of the team's most consistent players, and he proved it once again during the recent LCK Spring Split.

Chovy won two individual awards - Regular Season MVP and Split MVP. He was also named to the All-LCK First Team and three other team members. According to gol.gg, Chovy had the highest average KDA in the group stage of the LCK Spring Split with 6.4 and finished second in the playoffs with 5.2. However, he made up for it with a playoff gold per minute (GPM) of 458 and a kill participation rate of 79.7% - the highest of any mid.

As champions of their top region, Korea Republic will start their journey to MSI 2024 on the main stage, and it will be interesting to see how they fare in their next international tournament.

Fnatic

As expected, the Europeans made it through the play-in stage. Let's face it: the Fnatic players got lucky with their group; two wins against GAM Esports were enough to secure a place on the main stage. But aside from playing a team that came in with substitutes after the 322 scandal, Fnatic was classy against Top Esports, winning a map on home soil against the second team from China.

Fnatic is another European team that has won an international title before. However, a lot has changed since then, and the organization has never been able to recapture international success. The seven-time LEC champions haven't won a regional split since 2018, when the European championship was known as the EU LCS. This is also Fnatic's first appearance at the MSI since 2018 and their third overall.

The roster has also seen many players come and go, but the latest roster could be something special. Noah could be the deciding factor for the team. The former KT Rolster Challengers player was part of a mid-season roster change, during which he was a crucial element in helping Fnatic save their season. Fnatic's players also improved significantly during the extreme splits, with Noah playing the most games during the recent playoffs. He had the highest averages in kills and assists and was one of the team's primary sources of damage.

Expert Betting Tips

The Koreans are the clear favorites in this game, and it is unlikely that the Europeans will even get a map, so it is worth getting the odds on a sure-fire LCK champion.
