Wildcard Gaming is a solid middle of the pack in the North American region. The WG players got off to a 2-0 start in the third round of the summer, but they are not a particularly strong opponent, and the real test for the team was the last game against Evil Geniuses (0-2), which showed that the team was not ready to face the clear favorites of the region. Can we call nouns serious opponents? Absolutely, given their great start this summer.
This squad had a real chance to clinch a place in the top 3 of the first and second regional leagues. Still, WG lacked experience somewhere and luck in these regional battles at the end of the season, and in the end, the team settled for only 5th place in winter and 4th place in spring. The boys were just a little short of qualifying for the Regional Finals and the Majors, but the squad continues to play in the same line-up, continuing to move towards their main goal of qualifying for TI11.
Wildcard Gaming is a North American eSports organization that has decided to break into Dota 2 in December 2021. WG has acquired a D2 Hustlers line-up that has proven quite successful in the North American arena.
nouns: It won't be easy
The big winner in the opening games of the summer league was the nouns squad that beat the formidable Evil Geniuses 2-1 before quietly taking on the underdogs from felt (2-0). And it's a great chance to clinch even the majors if the boys keep up the same level of play.
The nouns are a North American Dota 2 team that burst onto the competitive scene in May 2022 by signing 4 Zoomers. The boys began writing a new history for themselves in their new organization by winning the season eleven BTS all-season tournament, where they defeated Team DogChamp 3-1 in the final. Remarkably, the BTS tournament was only won by the base of this squad under the 'zoomers' tag more than a year ago - in March 2021, as part of their fifth season. There were a few more finals, but it wasn't until the new organization signed them that it came to victory.
It was unfamiliar to see the 4 Zoomers squad so low in the DPC leagues, with the boys finishing fourth in the first winter round and fifth in the second spring championship. Fourth place in January allowed the team to participate in the regional finals, which Valve organized for each region instead of the majors. Still, this squad finished fourth, losing both fights and receiving only a small additional cash compensation, without the important DPC points, which are extremely important for the current nouns.
The team is definitely played out, so I expect them to continue the season briskly, especially such an important season. The guys should be in the top 3, and whether they will qualify for the majors or not will show their further performance in this summer tour, but the start is great.
Expert Betting Tips
Somehow nouns are easily dispatching their opponents, which can't go on forever. Yes, the zoomers look significantly stronger than the current Wildcard Gaming players, but the underdog can pick up one map in this match, so Total Over 2.5 maps for 2.09 looks like a good option.
The exact score will probably be 2-1 in favor of nouns. The odds on that are 3.15.
Total frags on the first map will be over 51.5; the odds on that are 1.89.
