Tundra Esports vs Alliance: Three maps awaiting us

The new season in Dota 2 has started! Many battles have already been decided. We have a lot of intrigue and exciting matches ahead of us. Dota 2 fans just need to enjoy another DPC season that brings together the best teams in the world. DPC WEU 2021/22: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament from November 29, 2021, to January 23, 2022. The eight strongest teams in Europe will be competing for $280,000. On top of the cash prizes, the teams will be fighting for a ticket to the majors and the all-important DPC points needed to qualify for TI11.

Tundra Esports failed to qualify for The International 10. The European team was very strong at the end of the season, but the results left a lot to be desired before that. The team won ESL One Fall 2021 and finished in the top 3 OGA Dota PIT, but those successes were in September. In qualifying for The International 10, the team fell just short. After that, Tundra Esports did not play any official matches. It is now unclear in what form the team is. The squad of Europeans has not changed, but how did they prepare for the season? Alliance had a very disappointing showing at The International 10. The team had one of the weakest games of the tournament and was eliminated already in the second playoff game. Of course, after such an unfortunate result, the team has changed. Three new players joined the squad: Aramis, Supream^, and Leslão. This squad doesn’t look much stronger than the previous one, but maybe a better synergy between the players will allow Alliance to regain their former position. In the first matches, it’s always hard to determine the winner. After all, the teams haven’t played official matches for a long time, and it’s hard to know their shape. These teams are +- equal in terms of squads, and I expect three maps here.

Alliance have renewed their lineup. It is unknown whether this will benefit the team, but the lineup looks weaker than the previous one. The teams have consistently played three maps in previous head-to-head matches, and Alliance has been the unchanged winner. Whether Nikobaby’s squad can win again is unknown.
