Team SMG vs Polaris Esports Prediction: Battle for the first win this summer

Polaris Esports is a Filipino team that was founded in September 2021. From the start, the team established itself as a militant and serious, for the fourth place in the first division of the spring regional DPC league speaks volumes. Of course, the pack was focused on making it to TI11. They started in Division 2, which they won safely at the end of the first winter round, while also playing in several tournaments.

It has become a good tradition in the Asian region that those from the lower divisions are not lost and enter the top 4 of the Southeast Asian elite. So it was in the winter with SMG, so it happened in the spring with Polaris Esports. The team did not make it to the Majors, which upset the organization, and the bosses decided to strengthen their lineup a little. The Philippine boys will start the summer tour with newcomers: Nevermine moved from Summit Gaming and Tmv - GrindSky Esports. Whether it's a reinforcement or not, the summer tour will show, but the rookies have already shown good results by winning the eleventh season of the BTS tournament with Polaris Esports.

In my opinion, this team will lose a little bit of momentum this summer. Most opponents already take these Filipinos seriously, and that courage from making their debut in the elite division and the surprise effect will wear off. I wouldn't say the guys will be a flight risk, but certainly not a top-four region. SMG had the same slump when they played their second round in the elite.
