Despite what some might have thought, the Liquid prove they can perform well online. In the last four DreamLeague seasons, they didn't make it to the second group stage. Now, though, they've already secured a top-8 spot. Insania's team is getting back into shape after resting up after their win at The International 2024 and playing with their new teammate SaberLight.
Team Liquid came second in Group A with nine points. The only real blunder was the match against BetBoom Team (0:2), where Liquid couldn't get the better of their opponents. Overall, they are in a good position. SaberLight has integrated well. Nisha's consistently shown a good KDA (6), but we should also mention m1CKe – the carry makes 8.6 kills per map and is among the top three players in the first position at the tournament. Team Liquid has a variety of draft picks at the tournament, but they're primarily focused on midgame dominance and strong team fighting.
Even though they've been doing well online, Team Liquid has been inconsistent in their recent matches. The team recently played at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, where they also finished the group stage strongly but unfortunately couldn't quite prove their class in the playoffs. Team Liquid is just getting into the new season after a long break, and the captain said he didn't start playing for more than a month after winning the Aegis. So the second group stage of the DreamLeague season might be trickier for Team Liquid than the first – they'll all be at the same level.
Team Spirit
The Dragons also made it into the top 8 in the updated lineup. We're used to Team Spirit trading cards with their opponents in groups, but this time, they won three BO2s against outsiders and made it through to the next stage without any problems. At the Dacha, Team Spirit came in the top four. Can they do it again at DreamLeague Season 24? We'll better understand what this new squad is really made of in the next seven matches.
Satanic is getting a lot of attention. The community always compares him to Yatoro, but the young carry shows he can hold his own as a two-time TI champion. Satanic is outperforming all the other carrys in terms of average gold and experience production, with 9.4 kills per map (third in the tournament). Since Team Spirit's game structure is the same as before, all teammates are creating space for Satanic, and so far, Alan hasn't failed. Larl is also pleased – he plays a wide range of highly efficient characters and is one of the top ten players in the tournament in terms of KDA (6 per map on average). The Team Spirit strategy is simple: give Satanic 20 minutes to farm, keep the economy on par with the opponent, find a convenient fight and grab the advantage, and then bring the map to victory.
The new Dragons lineup brings together young talent with experience. Satanic and Rue have great mentors in Larl, Malik, and Miposhka. It's worth noting that the team places a higher value on matchmaking experience in the draft phase, and the players feel like they're on a winning streak. Team Spirit had a few issues against Team Falcons in the first group stage, but they handled the rest of the opponents well. Now, the Dragons will be tested by the current champions of The International 2024.
Expert Betting Tips
Team Spirit beat Team Liquid at the last TI2024, even though they used an old squad. But Miposhka and Larl know how they can beat the Liquid. Even though the bookmakers think Team Liquid is the favorite in this match, we're backing the Dragons and hoping they'll win.
