Team Aster vs Royal Never Give Up Prediction: Who will be the sole leader of the table?

After the Chinese New Year, the players began to perform relaxed. An extremely poor performance in the regional finals of the DPC leagues (3rd place out of 4), then not reaching the finals of the OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China (3rd place). All that doesn't change the main point. Team Aster remains one of the main favorites to start the third cycle of the 2021/22 season, the more so in the second regional final.

Team Aster is one of China's youngest teams, formed in late 2018, and already a top team in its region. Last season was a mixed bag for the guys; if we evaluate their results within the Chinese region, they are very cool: vice-champions of the first DPC league, champions of the second DPC league, and champions of two seasons of i-League 2021. Not even PSG.LGD can boast such results in China, but on the international scene, Aster played just awful: only 9-12 places in the two majors in Singapore and Kyiv, an unsatisfactory result in TI10 as well - 13-16 place. You can look for excuses, they didn't play in a full squad in Singapore, and at TI10, the whole team suffered from coronavirus, but the fact is that nobody makes concessions to the top Chinese team.

Something had to be done, and the organization's bosses made two substitutions in the squad: Ori, who moved from Vici Gaming, will play in position two, and Siamese.C, who spent the last season in the Aster.Aries youth team arrived in the position five.

RNG had a very strange game in the first match against Dandelion (0:2). The favorite led twice economically on two maps but constantly lost the advantage. That said, Dandelion's play was far from its strongest or most distinctive. After a serious starting slap in the face, RNG recovered by beating EHOME (2-1), Aster.Aries (2-0) and Vici Gaming (2-0). Now the team has a 3-1 statistic, and the guys want to top the table.

Yes, the RNG team could get through to the majors in the spring DPC round (where the Chinese teams didn't make it), but they didn't do it very confidently. First of all, the end of the championship was a failure, losing all matches to direct competitors with a score of 2-0 - these are games against PSG.LGD, Aster and Xtreme Gaming. The management of the Royal Club could not watch as their brainchild, which just started to show something in 2022, collapsed before their eyes, and after the regional league, they made replacements.

The first "battle" test was unsuccessful because the renewed RNG squad failed the second regional final, losing two matches to PSG.LGD (0:2) and Xtreme Gaming (1:2), thus satisfied with only the fourth position in the important mini-tournament of the last spring.

But there were positive moments in the offseason! Royal Never Give Up won the tournament Gamers Without Borders, which included the Chinese and Asian teams, and in the Grand Final, they defeated BOOM Esports (2-0), the participants of the Majors.
