Upper Bracket Round 1
Format: BO3
Monday, September 6, kicks off the first game day of the top-flight international OGA Dota PIT Invitational. T1 and Team Spirit will compete in the second leg.
The OGA Dota PIT Invitational is an International Dota 2 tournament that will brighten up the September wait for TI10. The contest runs from September 6-10. The tournament will feature 8 of the strongest teams from China, Europe, CIS, South East Asia, North and South America competing for $275,000.
T1: The Asians will continue to enjoy their game
The Asian team is performing exceptionally well in Europe. After their 3-2 triumph against Virtus.pro at ESL: One Summer 2021, they followed up at ESL’s second tournament, One Fall 2021, with a dominant performance that saw T1 finish in fourth place.
The T1 squad is the reigning Asian DPC regional champion and a competitor in The International 10. Carry player 23savage has found his team, and he’s ready to take on the world stage and the Asian Dota scene. But despite the desire to continue to win in Europe, the team may not show good results in the OGA Dota PIT Invitational, and the reason for this lack of motivation to unlock the work before The International 10, because before the main tournament of the year is not so much time.
The T1s are hungry for wins, especially in the European arena that brings them lavish prize money and not even close to the sums in Southeast Asia.
Team Spirit: The team continues to gain momentum
For any CIS team, such major tournaments are significant. Team Spirit took part in the Dota 2 Champions League 2021 Season 2 playoffs, where they didn’t put up much resistance, and as a true favorite, they crushed all their opponents.
This was followed by a performance at ESL One Fall 2021 tournament, which turned out worse than T1, but in the group stage of the CIS team beat the Asians, but not the fact that this will happen again.
Team Spirit got to the TI10, but so far, they do not look like a team capable of surprising with a good result there. Yes, the guys are trying to find something interesting in spades, changing their game for the new meth, but they are inferior even to the Asian team T1 when they play with motivation. What has changed in the week since the ESL tournament? We’ll find out in the first match.
Expert Betting Tips
I expect a rematch from the Asian team T1, so I suggest betting on their victory for 1.94.
Team Spirit obviously won’t give up the win without a fight, so a full BO3 with three maps awaits us, which means we can bet on Total Over 2.5 maps for 1.93.
