07.05.2022, 11:00
The second Chinese regional final will continue on Saturday, May 7, as the top four teams from DPC league two will battle it out for extra TI11 ranking points and the prize money. Royal Never Give Up, and Xtreme Gaming will meet in the losers' semi-finals to determine the first eliminated from this mini-tournament.
DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 2: Regional Final is an online Dota 2 tournament that will take place in China from May 06 to 08, 2022. This competition was organized due to the inability of Chinese teams to travel to Sweden for the majors due to COVID-19 restrictions, so the top four teams in the Chinese region will compete against each other for $100,000,000 and 750 DPC points.

Yes, the RNG squad did manage to qualify for the DPC round of the Spring, but they did so in a very uncertain manner. First of all, the end of the championship was a disaster, losing all their matches to direct rivals 2-0 - games against PSG.LGD, Aster and Xtreme Gaming. The Royal Club management couldn't watch their brainchild, just starting to show something in 2022, crumble before their eyes and make replacements after the regional league.
Kaka plays on the 4th position, while the former SAG player Ghost has come to test in the 1st position. This regional final will be a great test for the newcomers. In addition to this mini-tournament, RNG will also try out their newcomers in qualification games for the Gamers Without Borders tournament. Still, the level and importance of these qualification games are far lower than the DPC points at stake.
RNG had to face the most difficult team in the opening round, PSG.LGD, even in their best shape, were not always beatable, and even less so in a DPC-prize tournament. RNG's disgusting performance led to a legitimate 0-2 draw and what the team should do now is a complicated question, as Xtreme Gaming is far from a gift.
Xtreme Gaming: There will be no two mistakes in a row
With Aster (1:2), it was a battle for life... They led on one map, but in the end, the experienced fighters couldn't be beaten and fell to the bottom net where RNG was already waiting for them. That particular opponent looks the most passable right now, so I don't see any big problems for Xtreme Gaming here.
Xtreme Gaming can be commended for their spring DPC league run, as it was their debut season in the elite, and they finished the game as the Chinese vice-champions, defeating a tough Aster team in the second-place replay. In general, for Xtreme Gaming team Aster was always extremely uncomfortable. They played them twice before the replay, and both were not successful, but Aster is now an extremely unstable game, and this is just to the advantage of the guys from Xtreme Gaming. No doubt, it's a pity that we won't see this distinctive Chinese team in the majors, but this is the team that should take the DPC points, while Aster and RNG have to practice and improve their game.
Xtreme Gaming stayed flat throughout 2021, barely playing in the Chinese league's second DPC division. But that all changed after TI10 as several good players moved to this young team. The second division of the new DPC cycle was decided by J, Paparazi, Srf, Pyw and Dy. And this squad paid off, winning the regional league and gaining a slot in the elite for next season.
The Xtreme Gaming management decided to replace the players in the first and third positions after the team reached the first DPC division - with former Ybb Gaming carry Lou lou Zhen replacing Wang J Wenjun. The team's new hardliner, on the other hand, was legendary Vici Gaming player Ren ELeVeN Yangwei - he replaced Sun Srf Runfa.
The Xtreme Gaming team is looking to the future, hoping to become a leveraged team and become a stable member of the elite or even playing in the majors. At the Intel World Open Beijing Lunar Tournament, the team won the vice-champion title, and they won the OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China in late February. The majors were secured, but the covid broke all the plans, so it is worth keeping their good form in the regional finals, which are no easier than the majors in terms of difficulty.
Expert Betting Tips
Xtreme Gaming will win the encounter with a handicap (-1.5) on the maps; the odds on this are 2.25.
Xtreme Gaming will win the first map with a handicap (-7.5) kills; the odds on that are 1.83.
The second map will not be very productive in terms of kills, so Total Under 49.5 kills for 1.88 looks like a good option to bet on.
