Infamous has been a consistent mid-tier in the South American pro scene, the boys have been in the elite division all along, but they cannot yet make it through to the majors. The line-up changes after every DPC league round, and the summer of 2022 is no exception.
Surprisingly, the Infamous squad finished second in the first DPC of the 2021/22 season but didn't make it to the majors as it was largely canceled by the folks at Valve, who instead organized a regional final, which also brought Infamous second place, extra money, and DPC points. The second round of the DPC league was not as successful as the first. The team finished only fifth in the spring, so there was no reason to think about a major.
Before the start of the final regional round, there were changes in the Infamous line-up:
Peruvian Parker, who spent the last tour in the second division and helped SG esports win it and return to the elite of South American Dota, has joined the team in the first position.
Position four is interesting because in the second round, sl4d1n- and Michael- managed to play for the team in this position, and who will eventually fight for the region's leadership will show the starting games of the summer tour.
Thunder Awaken: Are we ready for the start of the new tour?
The spring tour went well for Thunder Awaken. The guys won the South American Regional League, went to the Major in Sweden, and performed well there, finishing in 5th or 6th place, but lost to eventual champions OG in the playoffs. Such results satisfied the management, and the squad did not change in the end. Thunder Awaken continue to be the odds-on favorite to win the Regional League, and only a sluggish start could keep them from dominating South America again.
Thunder Awaken (formerly known as Thunder Predator) is a South American cybersports organization. Their former name was due to Acer's sponsorship of the Predator brand.
Thunder Predator have completely changed their line-up after failing at TI10. In return came a full NoPing e-sports squad that, although they performed well in the region in 2021, failed completely to qualify for TI10, and they were really lucky to be signed by an even more top-flight organization, giving them a second chance. The Peruvians have taken that chance so far, winning the first and second DPC leagues in South America without a chance from their rivals.
