EHOME vs Xtreme Gaming Prediction: The favorite must take the points

Tuesday, June 21, marks the start of the third week of play in the third round of the DPC China Regional Dota 2 League. The second match of the elite division's game day will feature teams EHOME and Xtreme Gaming.

DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament that will run from June 07 to July 15, 2022. The top eight teams from the China region will be competing for $205,000. Aside from the cash prizes, the teams will also fight for four entries to the majors and the crucial DPC points needed to qualify for T11.

EHOME had a sensational result in their opening encounter of this summer tour, as the young players turned the tide against PSG.LGD (2-1), who they were able to defeat. Yes, EHOME gave PSG.LGD had trouble several times, but it never came down to a win. Next, the team played against RNG (1:2), and although the game was no less tense, it was, more importantly, inconclusive. The third game for EHOME and the third favorite of the region, is there any strength left?

The spring tour for EHOME was not as successful as the winter one. The squad finished fourth in January and was due to play in the majors, but it was canceled at the last minute. In the first regional finals (a Valve tournament instead of the majors), EHOME was predictably the weakest team. In the spring, however, the Chinese squad switched their position two carry by signing Echo to their roster. The switch did not produce a better result for the organization, with EHOME finishing in sixth place at the end of the regional league. I don't think it's the fault of the Chinese understanding that they're out of contention for any international tournament, as the team's actual play has yet to equal that of the grandees.

The team starts the summer tour without substitutes. The team did not take part in the second regional finals, but they have not been without playing practice at all, as in early May, they took part in the tournament Gamers Without Borders, where teams from China and Asia took part. The team finished in third place in that tournament, but the level of the team was far from tier-1.

EHOME is one of the oldest teams in China, but last season was such a disaster that they would have liked to forget the whole debacle. Throughout 2021, the team has been trying to find their game, changing their manager and the coach. However, they still haven't managed to qualify for TI10, and the management has decided to change their strategy and plans including the squad radically.

For the DPC season 2021/22, the focus will be on young talented players. The backbone of the new EHOME is made up of former Phoenix Gaming players: carry shiro and two supporting players - plAnet and zzq. Phoenix Gaming has performed well, but not for China's elite division. The recruits would have played in the elite division anyway, as they had a great second DPC league season of 2021 in the second division of China, but coming to EHOME is a breakthrough for the lads, but they can they make it to TI11?

The match against Vici Gaming (2-0) demonstrated that the Xtreme Gaming team was well prepared for the summer tour, and it's no surprise, as the DPC points of the star-studded squad are not enough. It's crucial to break into the top 2 of their region. But what a sensation was the loss of this team to their opponents from Aster.Aries (0:2), such a slap wasn't expected, and the Xtreme Gaming team should be pissed and show their maximum in the game with EHOME.

Credit must go to Xtreme Gaming for their Spring DPC campaign as they made their debut in the elite tier and finished as runners-up to Chinese vice-champions, beating Aster in the battle for second place. Having qualified for the Regional Finals, this squad failed to clinch additional DPC points, finishing only third in this mini-tournament. For Xtreme Gaming, the summer tour is of utmost importance.

If you go back in history, the Xtreme Gaming team had been struggling all year 2021, barely playing in the second division of the Chinese DPC league. But that all changed after TI10, as some good players moved to this young team. J, Paparazi, Srf, Pyw, and Dy decided the second division of the new DPC cycle. And this squad paid off, winning the regional league and gaining a slot in the elite next season.

The Xtreme Gaming management decided to replace the players in the first and third positions after the team reached the first division of the DPC, with former Ybb Gaming carry Lu lou Zhen replacing Wang J Wenjun. The team's new hardlane, on the other hand, is legendary Vici Gaming player Ren ELeVeN Yanwei - he replaced Sun Srf Junf.

The Xtreme Gaming team is clearly looking to the future, with hopes of becoming a leveraged team and a stable member of the elite or even playing in the majors. At the Intel World Open Beijing Lunar Tournament, the team won the vice-champion title and even won the OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China in late February. The boys secured the Majors, but the Covid broke all their plans, so it's worth keeping their good form in the regional finals and even qualifying for the majors in the summer.

Xtreme Gaming should beat their opponent. Moreover, I believe in their success with a handicap (-1.5) on the maps for 2.00.

On the first map, Xtreme Gaming will win with a handicap (-9.5) frags for 1.80.

The second map could be a killer, and I suggest betting on Total Over 46.5 frags for 1.75.
