As expected, the favorite started this qualification with a win, but it's too early to relax. The first map of the game with Among Us was a smas. On the second map, Abed&Co started well but threw away any advantage, and everything looked like a defeat. Still, Blacklist players did not want to play the third map, ending the first match with a score of 2:0. Next up, the favorite is also comfortable. Will the winning streak continue?
Last November, three new players - Abed, Gabbi, and Carlo - were added to the Blacklist roster, signaling the start of a new phase with the formation of a promising squad in Southeast Asia. Previous efforts by the owners of Blacklist International to create a super team of Filipino players to compete in the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 were unsuccessful, and the team failed to qualify for the regional competition and did not qualify for TI 2023. This unsuccessful experience led to a major change in Blacklist's roster, taking advantage of the opportunity to acquire prominent Filipino free agents that emerged on the transfer market.
Neon Esports
The Philippine team continues to actively search for the optimal roster as they look to return to success. In more than three years, the Filipinos have placed 5th-6th at the ONE Esports Singapore Major, but are currently struggling to move up from the Dash-3 level of the Asian professional scene.
In the new season, Ken and Castaway will continue to be represented by Neon Esports, who joined the team in the first half of last year. New roster members join them: carry CDR (transferred from Team SMG), offlaner JG (from Made in the Philippines), and another backup Bombi (from XERXIA). With the new lineup, the Neons failed to qualify for the BetBoom Dacha closed qualification, losing first to Titan and then to 747. However, in the subsequent DreamLeague open qualification, Neon was able to take revenge on 747. The team is already actively working on correcting their mistakes, making these players potential dark horses in this qualifier mini-tournament.
Expert Betting Tips
Neon has shown that they are no whipping boys. This team is capable of beating good teams, but will they be able to cope with the famous Filipinos protecting Blacklist? There is little doubt that the favorite will win, but will Blacklist be able to get by without three maps?
