Xtreme Gaming once started its way from the second division of China, but rather quickly broke into the top and won the hearts of the fans. In the first division, the team was strengthened by old eLeVeN and lou, who took the third and first positions respectively. Now this squad looks very powerful, what's worth only a team mider Paparazi, and an experienced pair of assistants in the face of Pyw and Dy look formidable. Before the qualification for The International Xtreme Gaming was considered one of the main favorites, the team that will take the slot to the group stage. However, twice Royal Never Give Up stood in the way of Paparazi and Co, and both times Xtreme Gaming lost. Nevertheless, the team showed a good game, beat many strong Chinese teams and approach The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier as one of the favorites. This squad does not have many international matches, but individually the players are very experienced, so this stage should not be a problem.
Virtus.pro
Virtus.pro has finally got their tag back. At the main cybersport tournament of the year, the team will play under its usual name. This is pleasing. During the Eastern European qualification, Virtus.pro was the main favorite and almost no one had any doubts that it was VP that would get the only slot in the group stage of The International. However, in the grand final BetBoom Team unexpectedly managed to defeat the favorite. And they did it with a score of 3-0. Moreover, two out of three maps ended in a rout for Virtus.pro. The last one took 25 minutes to complete. It felt like the guys took a tilt and just gave up. At tournaments like this it's often not their skill that wins the game, but their tenacity and the ability to never give up, which OG demonstrated perfectly over the past two years. Of course, Virtus.pro must have enough skill to beat most last-chance teams, but a draw against Xtreme Gaming looks more likely.
