G2 Esports made it to the playoffs with character and luck. Thanks to a lag on Jame's computer, the m0NESY team managed to win the second map and crush Virtus.pro on the third. It will be Ilya's first time playing on such a big stage, but his experience lets us say he won't be nervous. What are G2 Esports' chances of winning in general?

The majors are traditionally tricky for NiKo. He becomes the hero of individual rounds in rare situations, but his statistics at the Major are far from normal. But m0NESY reminds us in every possible way that it's not for nothing that he was in the top 5 of the annual HLTV Awards 2023 - 1.36 HLTV points, 85 damage per round, and seven clutch wins last week. Nexa and huNter are trying to match Nexa and Ilya's performance, but HooXi is far from his teammates' conditioning (but we are used to that). G2 Esports leads the tournament in pistol rounds (13-5), has a good majority (82%), and is better than many in exchanges (24.5%). But there is a downside - G2 Esports often loses in open duels.

This is the fifth time that NiKo has made it to the playoffs in the majors. Twice Nikola played in the Grand Final, twice he was eliminated in the quarter finals. Together with huNter and nexa, they played in the PGL Stockholm Major 2021 title match and lost to Natus Vincere. But now there's m0NESY, who plays even better against CS2 grandmasters than against regular opponents, and the others don't need any motivation.

MOUZ often makes the playoffs but never makes it to the final. It could be a matter of experience or nerves, which is certainly not true for G2 Esports. MOUZ has played incredibly well against easy opponents, but G2 Esports has trained against tough opponents in the elimination stage. The bookmakers have MOUZ as their favorites, but something tells us that m0NESY and the company will go further.
