G2 vs GamerLegion
The qualification series for the next CS:GO majors, IEM Rio 2022, will continue on Friday, October 7. In the European RMR qualification of Group A, the teams G2 and GamerLegion will fight in the elimination game.
Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: European RMR is a qualification tournament for the upcoming second major of 2022 in the CS:GO eSports discipline - IEM Rio 2022. European qualification is divided into two groups - A and B, in each group 16 teams from Europe and the CIS will fight for eight slots in the main tournament of the second half of the year. The tournament has no prize fund, the eight strongest teams in each group will receive a ticket to the major in Rio de Janeiro.
G2: No room for error
After G2 eliminated their ECSTATIC opponents 16-0 on Ancient Map on the first match day, the team had another crisis. And if losing to C9 was tolerable, then yesterday's loss to 1win (13-16) on the very same Ancient was more like a critical error that could cost the star five losing their chance for the major.
The G2 team has a stellar lineup - take, for instance, NiKo and m0NESY, - but even they pale in comparison to the Danish captain HooXi. The Dane has only just joined this team and has passed all the stages of legendary in the eyes of the community: from fierce hatred to universal love.
At the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 tournament, the Dane wasn't doing well at all. A million fan memes about his small number of kills on Inferno affected G2's morale, and it was also difficult to play with four players... But G2 managed to pass to the final stage of the BLAST Premier, and then it was time for the ESL Pro League Season 16.
In the EPL, the team flourished until the playoffs. HooXi not only started to call the shots, but also to hit good shots. The team worked with him on his aim and the Dane's game thrived. In Group B the European team didn't lose a single map, winning five games 2-0, and the opponents were really good: FaZe, Outsiders and BIG, plus FTW and MIBR. But in the playoffs, the favorites stumbled... and they lost to the future champions from Vitality (2-0).
The G2 team is approaching the major in their ultimate fighting form, but this RMR tournament of the stellar European team still looks awful.
GamerLegion: It's sad to say goodbye to the team
There were periods when the GamerLegion squad has had its successes, but only on the tier-2 stage. The team hasn't played anything big, let alone won for quite a long time, and if before the team was full of Swedish players, now it is a mix. We can only highlight the Danish sniper acoR from the current squad, who had played for MOUZ for the last year and a half and left the "mice" only at the end of summer and moved to GamerLegion in September, since he hadn't received any serious offers. Belgian Keoz (from Team Falcons) and the Polish captain siuhy (from MOUZ NXT) joined the team together with the Dane.
In this RMR tournament the GamerLegion team surprised us. On the first game day this team was one step away from beating FaZe, as they had a lot of match points, however, they didn't realize them and lost with a score of 25:28. The next day GamerLegion had a game against Aurora Gaming (16:10), the guys won and extended their stay in this qualification.
Yesterday there was an epic game on the Ancient map of GamerLegion against Team Spirit that acoR's team lost again in the series of additional rounds (20:22). And if you think about the chances of this Danish sniper against m0NESY, it will be extremely difficult to compete with the Russian in one-on-one duels.

Expert Betting Tips
According to the rating, G2 team will select their picks second, so I suggest betting on a certain victory of G2 on the second map with a handicap -4.5 rounds, the odds for this are 2.10 at bet365.
On the first map we can believe in GamerLegion resistance, so Total Over 26.5 rounds could well win at odds of 1.72 at betway.
And finally, G2 should win with a handicap -1.5 on the maps, the odds for this are not bad, about 1.72 at 1xbet.
