PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR A is the first qualification tournament where teams will compete for the right to play in the main event in CS:GO - PGL Major Antwerp 2022 (major). This year, the CIS region will be combined with the European region and there will be no separate qualifiers for them. At the tournament, 16 teams will fight for eight berths to the main championship.

We have got the Swiss system this time, which I think is the fairest and most appropriate for such tournaments. With this system, every team has three chances to prove they are worthy to play in a tournament on the Majors level. It also doesn't allow for teams to be randomly selected for the main event (PGL Major Antwerp 2022), like last year when some teams were lucky enough to beat the favorites in BO1 to go to the Majors and then get knocked off without a chance in the first leg.

The whole event will be played according to the Swiss system (teams play for points, each team plays until they have three wins or three losses) in BO1 format, with the knock-out or relegation matches in BO3. The fourth seeds will be ranked from 1st to 4th in the Swiss system, so the match for fourth place is very important and will also be ВО3. There will be no play-off bracket.

FaZe: Top of the world rankings

The international FaZe squad is now stronger than ever. They have won their second major tournament in a row (IEM Katowice 2022 and ESL Pro League Season 15), beating all the top teams in the world. The arrival of Estonian Robin "ropz" Kool marked a new era for the squad. He was the one who brought the team to victory on EPL, for which he received the MVP medal. They have now reached the top of the rankings, displacing Born to Win, who in turn held the lead for 37 weeks.

For players with such immense experience and ambition, one would not want to lose a match at all, so they should win their first match without any problems, as well as the entire Swiss series.

In past tournaments, they have often had problems in the group stages and often managed to jump into the play-offs. But I don't think they want to be in a catch-up role, so they should win their first match without any problems.

The latest change in the line-up was the arrival of Robin "ropz" Kool.

The top ranking according to hltv is 1st in the world. Now the team is in 1st place.

The best map is nuke, with a win rate of 80% for 5 maps played.

Eternal Fire: What's wrong?

The Turkish team itself is very strange. It seems that some star players have managed to add their name to the history of CS:GO, but they can't consistently show good results. Then players make a mistake on a level playing field and give up their rounds, or they overpower opponents on a crazy individual game, kick a player, and three days later reenter the main roster (it was a kick, not a booster). It seems that Eternal Fire has everything to win and dominate the tier-2 scene, from which they can't get a foothold in tier-1. The vast experience of the individual players, the incredible individual form, the single language - all of this should be the key to victory, but something is constantly missing. What is it? I hope they find the answer to that question and can move up the rankings.

The fact that they made it through all the qualifiers seems to be a good indicator, but it's impossible to predict the mood with which they will approach each match. On the other hand, their opponent is now so strong that little will depend on the Turks themselves. They will only win if FaZe give them the game themselves.

The latest change in the line-up was the arrival of Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.

Their best ranking according to hltv is 20th in the world. The current ranking is 42nd.

The best map is overpass, with a win rate of 78% for 9 maps played.
