Astralis: Good game

Astralis got off to a solid start to ESL Pro League Season 15 with a 2-0 win over Evil Geniuses. The team looked good and had hopes of winning before their match against Heroic. The Danish derby provided one of the most entertaining matches of this ESL Pro League draw. Astralis led 1-0 on the maps and 15-8 in the second. It looked like victory was in the bag as Astralis players remained 4vs1 in round 24, but sjuush created an incredible clutch and pulled out the match for his team. In the end, gla1ve and Ko lost this and the next map in extra rounds. Will the boys come to their senses after such an upsetting defeat? The third match will show, but we can answer that the Astralis game was at a high level. The guys played even better than could be expected of them.

As for the maps, Astralis do not want to play Mirage and Inferno now. These two maps were banned by the Danes in their opening matches and it is unlikely that anything will change in the match against NaVi. The most likely pick for Astralis is Ancient. Right now it’s the strongest map in terms of win rate for the Danes. On it, they are as confident as possible. Natus Vincere has played only one official match in the last three months on this map.

Natus Vincere: First so far

Natus Vincere got off to a good start at ESL Pro League Season 15. The team has picked up two wins and has done so confidently. S1mple and B1T are showing incredible play and are currently the best players in the tournament in terms of individual statistics. However, the captain’s absence may have an impact in matches against stronger opponents. After all, the boys are now facing the two weakest teams in their group. And on the whole tournament, EG and AGO are among the worst-ranked teams. Next, Natus Vincere will be more difficult. For the pick, NaVi has two options: Nuke and Dust2. Both look good, but only at first glance. Nuke is not picking Natus Vincere right now. It’s rarely played, and no one has forgotten the 4-16 defeat by ENCE. That’s not to say it’s a good map right now. Dust2 in this tournament is good but raises the question of the level of the opponents. Poles never played well on Dust2, and EG is simply terrible on any map. And it was good on Dust2 except in 2019-20. Astralis has been bad on Dust2 in recent matches, but they’ve lost three times to BIG and once to G2 Esports, much more powerful opponents than NaVi. Yes, and the past squad did not work at all. After the departure of the Lucky team will be easier to play and it should increase. On both maps, the Danes can surprise.
