After a year of inactivity, Abdul put in a very good performance for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and helped the new team reach the playoffs. Degster didn't make it to Dallas, but with nicodooz Heroic made it to the IEM Dallas 2024 playoffs. The team will now try to win the YaLLa Compass 2024 title.

The substitution gave Heroic a boost. Nicodooz was very bad at AWP, which prevented Heroic from developing competent actions on the maps. With degster, playing became much easier, and NertZ and TeSeS showed their strengths more often. The latter came close to winning the MVP title after the group stage of IEM Dallas 2024, something that hasn't happened to the Dane in a long time. The excellent performance in Dallas allowed Heroic to climb back into the top 10 of the HLTV team rankings to eighth place.

Heroic's problems lie in matches against top opponents. So far, Heroic has not been able to compete with the best consistently. In Dallas, the team lost to Virtus.pro and Team Vitality, and the win over Natus Vincere should come as no surprise, as the born-to-win team was out of sorts. Before that, Heroic lost to Team Spirit in the semi-finals in Belgrade. Abu Dhabi has almost no full-fledged tier-1 teams, but Astralis can still cause a lot of trouble.

Astralis has lost in previous games, but that was to blame. Heroic hasn't met the new version of the Danish stars yet. Astralis is playing very well and could be a serious contender for the top 1 of HLTV in the near future. The team will start to prove their superiority by meeting against Heroic.
