BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe is the penultimate tournament in the BLAST league before the finals this gaming season. The tournament will be separate for the European and American regions. In each region, teams will compete for a slot in the main event, BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022, which will be held on LAN in Denmark. Each region has one slot, so only the winner will be able to represent their organization at the BLAST Finals.

The tournament will be held in one stage. In other words, there will be a playoff bracket. The tournament will be held in single elimination (to one defeat). All tournament matches will be held in BO3 format.

Two Danish teams will fight for a ticket to the stage in Copenhagen. But for both teams it is a crucial match not only because of the slot in the home tournament. The fight for the title of the best Danish team between Astralis and Heroic is always very interesting and entertaining. Lately Heroic is more deserving of the title. Will Astralis be able to claim it at the end of the gaming year?

Astralis: set to win

From the very beginning, the new squad of Astralis played very unstable. Absolutely every player in the lineup fell out in some match. Very strong and skilful players, who are individually stronger than many, just were not able to find their style of play. And the inexperienced coach, who most likely did not have the proper authority, was not able to build a team game. And no matter how hard they tried to keep the roster, very poor results forced the organization to take drastic measures to revise the roster, after the team was unable to reach the major.

At this tournament, Astralis started off with a win over Eternal Fire, but the victory was very uncertain. The Astralis made a lot of mistakes and only a huge amount of experience in the distance game allowed them to win the third map overtime. The next game saw them win at the map veto stage, where Vitality got it badly wrong, leaving inferno the third map. In the semifinals, Vitality played as the favorite, with great underestimation, and were punished for that. Nevertheless, the French organization already has a slot in the global finals of BLAST, so maybe they relaxed somewhere. Today Astralis will have to play against an opponent that in any case will have much more reason to win than Vitality. Nevertheless, this victory gave great confidence in their abilities, and by the uncertain smiles on the cameras of the players it was clear that the victory was a pleasant surprise. Whether gla1ve and company will be able to pull off another sensation, we will find out very soon.

The last change in the squad was the arrival of Peter Casle Ardenskjold as head coach, who hasn't played or coached anywhere for two years. Also Mikkel MistR Thomsen from the academy is helping the squad finish possibly the last tournament for this Astralis squad.

The best HLTV ranking: #3. Now it's #16.

The best map: inferno, with 78% win rate in 9 matches played.

The worst map: overpass, with 25% win rate in 4 matches played.

Heroic: favorite to win

At the end of last game season, the Heroic team made a non-binding substitution, and things went downhill for the team. But, both the players themselves and the coaching staff are incredibly experienced, so it was a matter of time before a new player was integrated, albeit into a very complex game system. And now after many tournaments we can say with confidence that jabbi is well integrated into the team, has worked on his role, and brings maximum benefit to his team. The main goal of reaching the major was achieved, and the team's excellent form is eloquently proved..

In the first match of this tournament Heroic was the favorite and completely proved its superiority. Although the game seemed close, at the most crucial moments, when Heroic realized that they could give the game away, they started to play seriously and took the rounds without a chance. The second match followed exactly the same scenario. However, their opponents ECSTATIC and Sangal are not strong tier-one teams and defeating them was not something fantastic, rather a natural outcome. This time their opponent will be team Astralis, which has defeated stronger teams along the way in this tournament. Will Heroic be able to confirm their status as the best team in Denmark this time?

The best HLTV ranking: #1. Now it's #9.

The best map: nuke, with 83% win rate in 6 matches played.

The worst map: overpass, with 33% win rate in 6 matches played.
