CLG: There's a Chance to Win

This split CLG started quite confidently. Defeating Dignitas on the first game day, Counter Logic Gaming set up to play well this super week. The second game day, albeit with problems, went into CLG's pocket, beating TSM. The third game day continued the guys' winning streak. Golden Guardians tried to do something, but it wasn't enough. At the end of the first week, Counter Logic Gaming went 3-0, which was very good. The second week started less well than the first. In the opening match, CLG lost to FlyQuest, ending their streak. On the second game day, the guys crushed Evil Geniuses in a tense encounter, keeping the lead. At the beginning of the week, CLG lost to Cloud9 with not the unpleasant draft, dropping to the third line. At the end of the week, CLG faced Team Liquid, who threw their opponents even lower in the standings. Week 4 started with a victory over Immortals but ended with a loss to 100 Thieves. So CLG now disputes the fourth place with FlyQuest. At the beginning of the fifth week, the CLG met with Evil Geniuses, who didn't leave a chance for the guys, thus sending the CLG to a series of defeats of two games. After that, the guys took five matches before Super Week. By the way, the CLGs failed the Super Week. After falling to TSM and 100 Thieves, the guys beat only Immortals in the last match of the season. The first opponent of the CLG in the playoffs will be Cloud9, which will be pretty hard to outplay.

Counter Logic Gaming, often abbreviated to CLG, is a recognized professional gaming organization whose teams compete at the highest level around the world. They are known for their League of Legends team, which is the oldest active LoL team. Counter Logic Gaming was created as a League of Legends team on April 16, 2010 by George "HotshotGG" Georgalidis after parting ways with his former team due to internal disagreements. While the original League of Legends team consisted of a total of ten players, their starting lineup of five soon formed, consisting of HotshotGG, bigfatlp, Kobe, Chauster and Elementz. Since then, Counter Logic Gaming has won 2 NA LCS titles, 2 regional tournaments, and finished second from MSI.

The CLG flopped the spring split, finishing in eighth place, 6-12. Before the summer split, the organization decided to replace only their toplaner.

Cloud9: It's Time to Gain Momentum

In the opening match of the summer split, Cloud9 failed in a tense struggle with Evil Geniuses, which ruined the guys' mood for the next super week. The second match was a disaster as they lost to Golden Guardians, and the third game day repeated the second one. Cloud9 fell to Team Liquid, setting a score of 0-3. The second week Cloud9 started with a comeback against Dignitas, which interrupted their three-game losing streak. At the end of the week, Cloud9 easily defeated 100 Thieves, recovering after a disappointing first week. Week 3, the guys had no problem beating CLG, moving from 0-3 to 3-3. Then, Cloud9 could not win over FlyQuest, ending their winning streak of three games. In Week 4, the guys regained the spirit, beating TSM and going 4-4 in the standings. Still, Cloud9 unexpectedly lost to Immortals, dropping to sixth place. Week 5, the guys quickly overcame Dignitas, climbing to fifth place. The following victory against Golden Guardians sent the guys on a winning streak that continued in Week 6, beating FlyQuest and Team Liquid. Week 7 went horribly - two losses dropped Cloud9 from third to fifth place in the overall standings. On Super Week, the guys gave up only their last match, finishing 10-8. Cloud9 had to play a tiebreak for fifth place with FlyQuest. Cloud9 took it, advancing to the playoffs from fifth place in the overall standings. The first opponent for the guys will be CLG, a simple opponent.

Cloud9 (C9) is a North American eSports team created by the former Quantic Gaming team after its dissolution. Cloud9 started as a League of Legends team. As they qualified for LCS for the first time, Jack Etienne, the current owner and the general manager, decided to pick up the team, and since then, it has grown exponentially over the years. They're a 4-time NA LCS champion, 7-time medalist, and one-time World Championship semifinalist.

Cloud9's spring split finished beautifully. The boys finished the group stage 13-5, advancing to the playoffs from second place. The playoff stage itself turned out a little worse for Cloud9. After losing to the 100 Thieves, 3-0, Cloud9 fell to the bottom grid. There the boys beat Golden Guardians 3-0, but lost 3-0 to Evil Geniuses in the next round, finishing 4th in the spring. Before the summer split, the organization sent Fudge to another position and replaced one player.
