Mike de Decker - Favorite
Mike de Decker won three events on the PDC Development Tour in 2015, including two in 2015 and one in 2016. Additionally, in 2016, he was awarded a PDC Tour Card. After failing to maintain it through the end of 2017, De Decker was forced to go without a Tour Card for the following two years. During that time, he primarily competed on the Development Tour, the Challenge Tour, and the occasional European Tour. On the other hand, on January 17, 2020, he won back his Tour Card by going all the way at European Q School and defeating Dennis Nilsson 5–3 in the final round of competition. In the first match he played for the World Championship, which took place in 2022 at the World Darts Championship, he defeated Darius Labanauskas.
Jeff Smith - looking to get a second win over Decker
In 2015, he competed in the BDO World Darts Championship and made it to the semi-finals. The following year, he squared off against Scott Waites in the championship match of the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship. Smith competed in his first event in 1996 and did well enough to advance to the semi-finals of the Canada National Championships. In 2008, he triumphed against Jeff Noble to take first place in the competition. In January 2011, Smith started training at the Professional Darts Corporation Q School. He gained a spot on the PDC tour after claiming victory over Ross Smith in his last match, which took place on the third and final day. In 2013, Jeff Smith competed in the PDC World Cup of Darts alongside John Part. In 2014, he returned to the BDO and went on to win the Canadian Open and the Halifax Open.
